That's definitely a bug, i thought we were talking about something like 1000nm. Have you tried the usual troubleshooting steps, such as cleaning cache, veryfing integrity for both games, etc ? If that doesn't work the easiest way to fix this bug that i can think of is to download this mod https://www.beamng.com/resources/ve...e-and-other-values-edit-works-for-mods.14868/ and upping the break multiplier, then making a config with it. --- Post updated --- Also, i guess he was saying it aggressively but it's true that automation cars are of lower quality than vanilla/mod cars, but if you like it use it, you just need to get this problem fixed. Also that one guy made the mod that linked so yeah. --- Post updated --- Also, to come back to the damage discussion, since the current physics engine don't work very well with indestructible things, the only solution would be to make a whole new physics engine, which would take a lot of time, instead of working on things like new cars, new maps, career mode, better graphics, ooptimization of this physics engine, etc.
You are right you never said flat out that "beamngdrive doesn't suit my needs!" but by the way that you said Automation doesn't work for you, and vanilla content is kind of boring and automation is the only reason you are still playing beam, Tells me that beamngdrive is not your game. A game for you is a game that you can create cars that have minimal damage, like Forza. A game that keeps you engaged all the time.
Your right, probably should've re-worded it. My point still stands(i think) If you enjoy Building cars cCheeseCake, Maybe you should find a car game that is purposely meant for such. Or build your own game for building cars..
Actually I believe that most cars in BeamNG have stronger frame than cars in real life. For example when IIHS started testing 25% small overlap crash back in 2012,most cars ended up like these: But in our game, even cars labelled from 1970s or 80s can get a better result than real life cars sold in 2012 in the same crash condition.
Idk from what I see the result is fairly similar in game to irl, but it seems safer because the wheel and doors get crushed less. I don't see too big of a difference in the actual frame.
The doors get crushed less because the frame deforms less, especially the firewall, door hinge and A pillar, they are stronger, but just a little.
This is just a problem with the automation exporter, it's simply garbage. Jbeams must be made from scratch or proper vanilla content, or they just wont behave properly.
