Ryzen is beautiful, and a big leap ahead in both mainstream computing, and general AMD CPU performance. If you're buying a PC to play Beamng.drive and heavily-multi-threaded games like Cities Skylines, etc, Ryzen is your #1 go-to. Threadripper is also equally excellent for video buffs who work with lots of video.

I never considered Threadripper, just because of it's high price, high power consumption and my usage.

Threadripper, while expensive now, will come down a bit as the CPU price wars between intel's X299 and AMD's TR-cpu platform X399 get well underway after it's initial (recent) launch. Ryzen is still 100% a great choice if you don't do videos/streaming regularly/for an income. Ryzen loves Beamng computations.

Couldn't fit this, AMD's TR 8-core 1900x cpu, with quad channel 3200mhz ram support, and 64 pci-express lane support, etc, will be out August 30th for 549$, though for how long it will be that price, who knows. 1950x 16-core = 999$, 1920x 12-core = 799$, no coolers included on X class cpus.

So, another question. If I want to make an Hackintosh, does Ryzen work well or I should go Intel?
