The spicy pocket-sized supercar

    Otnas CityCruiser Clubsport

After the Otnas CityCruiser exceeded 300 downloads in the BeamNG repository, I decided to make something spicy.

The Otnas CityCruiser Clubsport, the pocket-sized supercar. It is based on the CityCruiser 1.5 (https://www.beamng.com/resources/otnas-citycruiser-1-5-the-supermini.12829/) but has a bit differences to make it keep up with the big boys.

The engine is largely based on the 'Z' engine which could be found in the CityCruiser 1.5 Base. The engine is given a few treatments which made it able to produce 272 horsepowers and 242 Nm of torque. It is also known safe to rev until 10.000rpm.

The power is channeled to all wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and eLSD at all points. This resulted in a supermini hatchback that could reach 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250km/h.

The CityCruiser Clubsport received a new suspension setup, with stiffer springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars. These upgrades help the CityCruiser to have sharper handling and smaller body roll angle which helped the car to be faster in the corners. These modifications also helped the CityCruiser to travel at 250km/h safely.

The bodywork of the CityCruiser Clubsport is also somewhat different. It has larger vents at the front bumper for better cooling. The rear bumpers have vents too to reduce drag and to prevent the rear bumper from being blown away at high speeds.

Front fender vents are also available to reduce turbulence in the wheel wells, thus reducing drag and increasing stability.

Front foglights have been added to enhance visibility in dark situations.
Rear spoiler has been mounted to produce downforce that helps the car to be planted in corners and high speeds.

Despite having a large downforce, the bodywork of the Otnas CityCruiser Clubsport is also sleek at the same time. The normal CityCruiser has a drag coefficient of 0.278Cd meanwhile the Clubsport has its drag coefficient rated at 0.297Cd while having larger downforce.
To cope up with the grunt, the CityCruiser Clubsport is given wider tires at all four points. The CityCruiser Cruiser now has 235/45/R17 sport tires at all point that has 'Z' speed rating which is commonly used on exotic sports cars.

To achieve shorter stopping distance, we have equipped it with larger brakes and semi-race brake pads.

The CityCruiser Clubsport is the pocket-sized rocket that is waiting for you to drive it. So why won't you give one a blast?

    5/5,
    Version: 1.0
Much better than most of the automation mods out there, worthy of being a standalone car altogether
