    Coming from someone who used to drive around in the original Gridmap all the time, I have to say: I actually don't like the remaster. Usually you guys knock it out of the park with map remasters (with the exception of the drift track in Industrial), but this time it feels like the delivery just isn't there. The map seems more like a modded map from 2014/2015 instead of a high-quality map that the devs spent lots of time on. Everything is spaced too far apart, and I find that driving from one point to another takes way too long (at least compared to the original Gridmap). Gridmap V1 might have felt slightly cramped in some places, but Gridmap V2 overcompensates for that and actually ends-up feeling empty (despite actually having more stuff). Gridmap V2 is still a good test ground for cars, but it's not as good as I had hoped. Some half pipes are too small to do anything on and others have awkward entries and/or have vertical extensions so you can't use them for tricks either. The majority of stunt jumps have been repurposed into crash jumps, too many obstacles are repeated throughout the map, making it seem boring. Even simple, yet very useful things like the approach angle testers and slalom courses have seemingly been removed entirely.
    In the original Gridmap, the things that I had spent the most time doing was testing cars on the high speed ring or trying to set the fastest time on the sky curves, both of which have been changed (and in my opinion, not in a good way). The new high speed tracks are both too long and too short, respectively. Most vehicles will either top-out or overheat on the long track and almost no vehicle can reach anywhere near its top speed on the short track. The original sky curves were almost too narrow and it was a challenge to drive on them; unfortunately the new ones are even more so. Not only that, but they seem to be made with the track editor, making them seem just like track editor tracks, instead of being different and unique (like the originals were). Also, the original tracks prioritized high speed and acceleration or high speed and cornering; the new tracks just seem to prioritize both downforce and speed. That might not seem like a problem, but that means only the SBR4 is a viable car for setting extremely fast laps (whereas before you could use the Hopper, SBR4 and D-Series).
    Sorry if this just seems like I'm complaining - I'm not aiming to do that. I had a friend suggest that genuine negative feedback from someone who used to use Gridmap V1 quite often would be useful feedback, so I wrote this in response. For the most part, the rest of 0.23 is good: PBR looks awesome and is much more realistic than what materials looked like previously - Also it's really nice to see more in-depth engine simulation. It's just unfortunate that while Gridmap V2 is better than the original in a few ways, the rest of the revamp doesn't seem to be so.

    The new update broke all of the custom apps, including mine. How do I fix it?
    It's telling me there's some error around here, but I don't know what it is about.
    Code:
    angular.module('beamng.apps')
    .directive('crazycontraptions', ['bngApi', function (bngApi) {
    return {
    templateUrl: 'modules/apps/crazycontraptions/template.html',
    replace: true,
    restrict: 'EA',
    link: function (scope, element, attrs) {
        // The current overlay screen the user is on (default: null)
        scope.overlayScreen = null;

        scope.scrambleconfig = function () {
            bngApi.engineLua('scripts_crazycontraptions_extension.rolldice()');
        };
    },
    };
    }]);

    Few major and minor issues with Widgeon.

    Like mentioned before - deformation is a big mess. It spiking almost everywhere. Also any minor dent will cause shaking, especially at the back.

    Suspension is horrible in 3 wheeled version. At the back there is sand of bag with "handling" written on it. Well, without it Widgeon can better take bumps but will spins a lot of easier. With that bag... it handles like bag of sand (huh).

    Tachometer for some reason have "red zone" on 7. Basic engine have revlimiter set on 6, bigger engine - on 8.

    Reverse light when broken will lost transparency - that's it.

    --- Post updated ---
    I have to admit that the space between the fields is too big. And the Skycurves are lame. But any other things are quite nice. Especially the Offroad hill in the center. anyways Just my thoughts...

    and: Found this invisible material in Citta Veccia on Italy. It is on the east side of the Bridge

    Yeah, its got alot of really cool, awesome things...just too far apart, needs to be closer together, and some things need to be a bit smaller to make it not seem so empty.

    I want to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new "Garage to Garage Delivery" scenario! Can we get more of those on different maps or can it be promoted to it's own separate menu button like the "Bus Routes" scenarios?

    I'm having issues starting the game at all. Or rather, the launcher itself crashes. Cannot start in safe mode, cannot clear cache and cannot get a support id - all these things cause the launcher to crash.
    This guy is having the same issue: Failed to init content path | BeamNG

    Played this weekend so i can confirm it is related to 0.23

    Nah, what I am looking into has nothing to do with mods not showing up at all.

    Click on the mod you want to unpack and there should be a button on the side that says, unpack. Click it and the mod will be unpacked.
