Tire improvements will not be arriving in the short term, don't expect them any time soon. We'll release something as soon as there's anything that's usable
First time posting here this early! Even though i haven't downloaded this update yet, it looks amazing! You devs have made a wonderful game
Doesn´t jungle rock islands picture change or am i tripping? I thought it was a pbr update but it doesnt say it in the update notes.
Great work on the UI! Here's another way the UI smoothness can be improved. When you open the pause menu, the number of mods installed shows inside the "Repository" button. The problem is, when you have a few hundred mods, this severely delays the pause menu. I observe the following: Press ESC to pause. The pause menu shows instantly, but the number of installed mods is not showing inside the Repository button. Entire game freezes for 3-4 seconds. The number of installed mods appears inside the Repository button. The game resumes operation again. It would be great if there is a UI option or even internal json option to turn this off, because, atleast for me, its the only remaining part of the UI where the number of mods actually affects the performance of the game. (excluding the mod manager - but thats OK because it doesn't interfere with normal gameplay). This actually goes further than the pause menu and also affects the tuning & parts menu, because when you press ESC or click Back on the tuning menu, the pause menu appears, causing this issue. Additionally, the "Allow mods to spawn" option has been broken since 0.33. Full details can be found here. The list of mods this affects has now grown. The following mods now spawn in traffic even with this option unchecked: ETK 900, Maxxie's Ford Crown Victoria, Gavril Vertex, Gavril Barstow IV, Capsule Bus (this one added its own json toggle) I also often see random configurations for vanilla vehicle mods appearing in traffic, which look quite out of place. Please could this be looked into, as FPS decreases significantly with these in AI on many systems. It severely undermines the effectiveness of "Simple Traffic". This means you can't enjoy these mods without constantly activating/deactivating them (which often requires a full game restart). Otherwise - great work on the new Vehicle Selector! I'd like to take this opportunity to highlight Day420's superb work on his Advanced Vehicle Selector, which filled this gap until now. It's an impressive external vehicle selector that bypasses the shortcomings of the built in one and adds several QoL features. For the sheer volume of work put in, it's oddly underappreciated in the BeamNG community. Many thanks for the update!
I have to say, I'm impressed with the QoL upgrades in this update. I love the new paints stuff and gamepad modifiers (finally!) Update: is there a way to show my custom paint library in vehicle config menu? Or are they only available if I add my colors in the info.json file?
BeamNG update days are treated as official holidays in my household. Excited to check this out! Devs, can you provide an example of "Added support for defining the H-shifter pattern lookup in JBeam"? I assume this means I can now create dog-leg patterns or remap the location of reverse?
Hey Devs, love the update but there is 1 thing throwing me off. when you hit Esc it pauses the game (i know this sounds dumb) but we have a separate button for pausing the game, is there a way for yall to make this a togglable feature so the Esc button doesn't pause the game? (again i am loving the update!)
Feedback: - Favorited player-made configs are not appearing in the favorites grid. - The game now pauses whenever certain menus are opened. However, after they are closed, the game doesn't automatically unpause, which feels disruptive compared to the industry standard. I wish there was an option to control this automatic pausing/unpausing behaviour. - I no longer can zoom out the navigation app by right clicking it.
After a long search, I think I found what prevents the map from loading, it's the mod gamers_ultimate_pickup_parts . At least for me, after deleting it, the maps load again. See if you have it
the game should unpause when you close the menu again, unless you manually paused it before entering the menu with J.
Thanks for adding a new mini map... Where's the old one? What if we don't want this gta lookin map? Just keep the old one as an option on the UI screen. Why take the old one away?
The new one is customizable, it doesn't have to look like GTA. Old one had severe performance issues and the game is better off without it
