The newest version of the game is dated from 18th december if i remember well, and it works on it for sure.
Thanks to 0.9's physics engine optimizations this is much more FPS friendly. Before 0.9, I would only get 20fps on a good day. Now, I get a smooth 60fps, and with VSync off I get 80fps. With two spawned up I get 40fps. Also, a slight issue. It spawns with a large dent in each fender. Minor issue but strange. I am in love with this mod again.
Thanks for the message ! Indeed, with this new performance upgrade of the game, i can have 5 oldsfullsize between 40 and 60 fps. The dent on the fenders is already fixed on my version. This is due to the new anti-stick node system that now work with back faces of coltris as well (it's written in the change log). A node of the innerfender is misplaced and is conflicting with the fenders. EDIT : mod updated to fix this little issue.
SergentFido updated Codename : oldsfullsize with a new update entry: HOTFIX for V0.9 of the game Read the rest of this update entry...
BeamNG - Error The requested attachment could not be found. That's what I get when I try to download the Oldsmobile addon.
I just updated the mod and the fenders still have the dents. Do I need to update the content pack as well?
Just tried it with Firefox, and Edge. I normally use chrome, none of the 3 worked. Could you do me a huge favor and upload the file in a post? This is one of my all-time favorite mods, but I haven't been able to use it recently. (After I got my 1050 TI, the game started to lag A LOT with the oldfullsize, but with the new improvements I should be able to run it at 60 FPS)
Okay guys, i've found the issue ADHDRacer and stripedhemi are talking about. It's the pink link at the top of the first message that was linked to the previous version of the addon. It's fixed, sorry for the inconvenience
Cheers for using my sound Fido. With the new implementation of FMOD, I really hope the devs let us make much more complex engine sounds with different samples for off/on load, damaged sounds, and at least 5 samples through the rev ranges. Really excited for the future!
Thanks for the message. i've added you in the credit for the idle sound, i thought i did it already. Indeed when sounds will be improved it will be a great step, hearing no more this V8 sound for every vehicle except the Hatch will be something new . For now i don't do anything about sounds on the mod, when a new system arrives i will record engine sound, from my diesel car and other V8 cars.
