I’m currently reworking the whole drivetrain, all of that will be fixed on my next update.

    Progress Update.
    The 1992 Z28 5.7L 4-Speed Automatic.
    20230909111626_1.jpg
It has the same power as its IROC counterpart, but it's a little heavier at 3483lbs(1580kg) thus making its 0-60 a 6.5,
    20230909105653_1.jpg
    and 1/4 mile a 14.9 (barely)
    20230909110029_1.jpg
and it'll start to overheat at 152 MPH, which is the top speed that was advertised
    20230909110859_1.jpg
I'll be posting on the other Z28s soon, see ya!

A 1982 Z28 with a 3 speed auto would be hilariously tragic to drive

Having all engines and transmissions is what I have planned, I’m just doing the V8s first then working my way down to the i4.

sorry to bother and ask questions but does this mean there'll be firebird variants included in the mod as well?

No, I don’t believe so. Are main focus is the Camaro, if we were to do a firebird it would be a separate mod.

I think I've said this before, but a Firebird version would quite literally be nearly the same car, just with a different front and rear end and some slightly different interior parts

I haven’t seen the inside of the 80s firebird, but if it’s something that y’all like to include, reusing the Jbeam from the Camaro would work. Just would need to fine tune it and such.

I have an '82 Firebird if you need reference photos lol, all that's changed really are the center console, dash, and door panels

You can send them if you’d like, the reason why I said that it would be a separate mod because it’s already packing 200MB

I'm so glad to hear this - experiencing the absolute pinnacle of masochism that is the Iron Duke Camaro is why I was REALLY excited for this mod, not for the Z28 or the tuned configs since there are already multiple default and modded muscle cars that are actually fast. Base model cars have unfortunately been overlooked by the creators of the Dodge Coronet mod and the second and first generation Dodge Charger mods; the first two have no slant-six option and the last has no lower-end factory configs at all. A long time ago I made my own mod that added an inline-4 to the Moonhawk to replicate the hilariously slow "sports car" experience.

I hope it's still being worked on! I just came across this mod and have to say it's pretty awesome. Definitely needs more detail (it is a WIP after all) but looks like a lot of progress has been made since the beginning!

there's most likely real life stuff going on that's keeping akemi and the others from working on it, hopefully it isn't abandoned or anything.

Totally understand life getting in the way. Just hope that when time presents it's still being worked on.

    Hey ryanisstigg,

Hope this isn't classed as a bump (last post was 6 days ago), but if your version is the latest so far and its either the file on page 8 or later, I think that would be really helpful to post it again if that's ok with the OP and/or team still working on this?

Thanks to all still working to make this one happen, I'm sure its massively appreciated by all IROC fans.

i kind of lost track of what was going on with the engines and tuning, so originally i was waiting on that to become something.
nowadays i'm caught up with real life projects, so i haven't really touched beam much.
i'm hoping to get back to it with some spare time that these months have given me, since it's dark and cold out by 7pm so it's not really ideal since i work in my driveway.

I’m still working on it, I only have the weekends to get any work done on the transmissions. But the V8 engines are to spec, I just need to clean up the files for them and add some race parts.
