BeamNG Search bar - Is it broken or blind or something?

Hi Beam peoples

I ask this because I was trying to find posts before making a post to see if it had been done/asked before, even this post. A result popped up from 5 years ago with one snipped response.

Why is the search function so limited?

I was trying to search for Meo's LSX 454 crate motor and "no results found" . I did find it by rummaging through the forums (fora?)

This wonderful mod exists but search does not see.

Any tips on getting better results?

 

Type 'site:beamng.com (whatever you want to search)' into your search engine.

 

The ingame search bar is a bit limited IIRC. Searching for a mod by typing part of its name doesn't suffice, you have to write the exact name in order to yield results

 

A good rule of thumb is to always use Google's search algorithm when looking for something indexed. Just like DaddelZeit showcased.
