That's not what we're talking about, but cool. (It was about having a ragdoll as the driver/player, and actually having a driver, animations are another thing)
I know what the topic of discussion is, thanks. "Animations" can also apply to ragdolls, you know. I was saying that if the creator had full control over animation properties, then you could make any kind of biped you want, be it ragdoll or just simply animated, or no driver at all. So in short, having a driver in the vehicle, and what kind of driver, could be completely up to the content creator.
If you animated a ragdoll, it wouldn't really be a ragdoll. You can apply forces to it, but that isn't animations. Any how, making a ragdoll hold a steering wheel is hard, since they have to let go if it and move their hand about.
i know it would be hard to attach it to the steering wheel. and you dont know what happens on a bumpy road. will the character fly loose? anyway. thx for showing such an intrest in my question.
what concerns me is that there's probably no collision model for the interior, so the dummy is likely to end up going straight through the firewall and poking his head out of the grill in a crash.
That sounds awesome , yet bad... For me this wouldn't be the most important, but it would be a nice thing.
that might happen but i don't think ist such a big deal to make a colission model of the intrior too. (as far what i know from modeling XD) but i guess we will not know till the release.
