Thanks! If you want, I'd appreciate a review on the resource! (https://www.beamng.com/resources/covet-awd.23925/)
I just came here to say that I LOVE this mod. The Covet MR Turbo was a great car since it came out; I love the body, era and performance. However, it was hard to drive. Until now, that is. With this AWD mod, it makes the car PERFECT. The AWD Covet MR Turbo is my favorite car in the whole game thanks to this mod. Well done!!!
Seems like I got lucky, Mod still works perfectly fine (from my testing)! Please feel free to reply to this thread if you notice any issues!
well, I just found a major flaw in the Code for the Rear Differential and Halfshafts? Guess there will sonn be an update --- Post updated --- alright, I don't really know what I fixed, but mainly the rear Halfshafts are removed because they didn't do anything and just did some weird stuff to the Front Halfshafts, so they are gone now and still everything works I also did some stuff to the Rear Halfshafts as a mesh, (previously there was an Error where the inner part would be out of place) mayyybe the described bug is now resolved? But honestly, there really is some jank stuff in the Code, to make it work properly I'd probably have to rewrite most of it.

nope, I fiddeled around with the model when trying to fix it, did this to see if beamng even accepted changes in the model, I remember changing it back, apparently something weird happened and it didn't change back... --- Post updated --- hmm, will look into this if I'm awake enough to work on this again
Well well well, After quite a while, 0.6 is now out with quite the nice assortment of Changes! - Fixed weird Rear Halfshafts - Fixed Driveshaft - Changed Driveshaft to Prop, now rotates at proper RPM - (MR Layout) Fixed Front Diff Node scratching on the Ground --- Post updated --- The Rear Left Halfshaft seems to have some "deformation problems"... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH anyways, under normal operation it behaves, only when crashing it does this shit, so, I guess don't crash? (fix will probably be in the next update whenever I get around to doing that again xD)

So, I'm working on Models for the MR Layout to connect the Driveshaft to the Transmission. I currently have this: but idk, this doesn't really look good... does anybody have an Idea on how I could connect it better? not with like 3 universal joints (I think that's what they're called in english?)?
You could have an egg-shaped transfer-case-like housing that connects the side shaft to the central shaft via a pair of gears, or (if you have the room for it) simply have the main driveshaft at an angle like the Scintilla does.
Thanks, that's an amazing Idea! need to figure out some texture stuff, but I'd say this already looks really promising! I also learned a lot of blender stuff while doing this! (Map in background is OGC Map) --- Post updated --- Had to edit the Middle shaft a bit because it was clipping the main pulley wheel now it's close, but technically doesn't clip
Alright, that was pretty fast I'd say! New Update 0.7 will be out shortly! Changes: - Modeled Rear Part of MR Layout Drivetrain* - fixed deformation behavior of Rear Right Halfshaft - added 6-Speed Manual Transmission *: This should finally bring the Modeling stuff to 100%! I'm not 100% happy with the Material of the connecting shaft... If somebody wants to do the Materials properly, please DM me! --- Post updated --- mayyyyyybe I should also upload it... anyways, the resource update is already submitted, and I just uploaded the zip to the first post in the thread!

Alright, I just finished adding the rest of the beams to the shafts etc. Any suggestions what I could add now?
The Devs have blessed us with a new jbeam attribute, which would make fixing the clipping of the exhaust shield quite a bit easier, maybe I'll look into that soon(ish)
