It appears that the racheting assembly is built poorly with very high tolerances. It won't necessarily make the torque wrench inaccurate, but it is a sign of bad manufacturing practices, so you may want to be gentle with it. Out of curiosity, how much can you turn the rachet before it clicks, generally speaking the better built wrenches have tiny amounts of space between clicks.

There are 20 positions within 360deg, so that would make each one 18deg apart.

Once the torque value is reached, the joint between the handle and head bends approximately 5 degrees and clicks. So its just a standard ratcheting system, with a handle that measures how much torque is being applied.

A lot of brands re-badge this tool as their own. Those that don't often have identical specifications with very similar looking mechanisms, all the way down to the specifications and the way that they operate, so whether they also use the exact same components inside is questionable. However, I have no qualms with the torque measuring bit, its the ratchet that seems a little weak.

Its supposed to be accurate to +/- 4%. I don't really have any reason to doubt that. To my understanding they are least accurate at the extremes of their range, so most of the time it *should* be better than that. But I don't have the equipment to test it.

And the radio playing Don't Stop Me Now makes it even better. That is what I'd call perfect timing.

A tourist was showing his passport to a border guard when a crow flying past snatched right it out of his hands.
The passport was later discovered from a nearby forest, but with one page missing. The page was never located.
