So i am new to BeamNG Drive however i was playing Rig's of rod's before i switched to BeamNG so i do have some understanding of the similarity's despite the difference of quality of graphics and better physics BeamNG has over ROR.

So i new how to get mods to work in ROR and in some cases with the help of youtube at times however after switching over to BeamNG i have been having issues with mods not working when i put them in Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods and i have thirteen mods in total in which only two work and one i just added and have not seen if it has worked or not yet.

When i look at the mods that are installed in game only two show as vehicles and the remaining ten show as unknown.

I had been asking someone on Steam on what's wrong and they couldn't really help when i found something in my log file which both of us think may be the problem

784.33310|D|CEF.local://local/ui/lib/angular.min.js:108|Unable to assign type from data, so defaulting to string
794.44179|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/Desert Highway 6.11.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
797.06121|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/F150.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
798.86242|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/FordCrownVic_2.0b.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
800.37145|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/blockhead.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
802.07356|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/Rally_forest_1.5.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
804.04620|E|t3dlua.modmanager|unable to delete file: mods/Baja_Hills1.0.zip : tried to modify a file the OS needs
Was more for the rest of the mods i have but could not fit them all in comment post on steam and i couldn't find the rest in the .log afterword's

After presenting this to the person i was speaking with on what i could do which i didn't know at the time were error codes this is the response i got.

(I cannot help with the error codes since i am not familiar with them. In my Log file the following is present on one of those mods.

    2.28273|D|t3dlua.modmanager.mountEntry|mounting zip mods/levels/Baja_Hills1.0.zip in /

My best guess is that the game is trying to access the files shown after the word file relative to the BeamNg folder. Then it is tryng to delete those files listed but the game then catches that something is not correct and that the game is infact trying to delete a file that it thinks your computer needs.
So essentially a safety mechanism is kicking in to prevent the game from damaging your computer.

Your best bet would probably be to either:
•Open a support thread on the BeamNG forums:http://www.beamng.com/forums/questions-and-support.5/
    •Contact BeamNG for help:http://www.beamng.com/misc/contact
I would suggest asking in the forums first and if that gets no where then contact the devs.

Sorry for not being able to help out with your issue :)

Any help would be appreciated on this problem i seem to be having.
Note: Sorry that i made a post this large was not expecting it to be this long.

What version of the game do you have? Also, some older/Russian mods are not formatted correctly in the zip, so you'll have to edit that on some.

Two things, run BeamNG as admin. That may help. Other thing: What mods aren't working for you?

Get rid of the worldofmods junk, they hardly work and most are crazy low quality.

    http://www.beamng.com/threads/the-difference-between-quality-and-low-quality-mods.12607/

Second of all, some of those mods are not packaged correctly for the current modding system. All the mods on the repository/mods section are properly set up for it, but if you got them from a forum thread it's unlikely they're set up right.

For a mod to work correctly, the file structure must be:

    modname.zip
    V
    vehicles (OR) levels
    V
    modname (a folder)
    V
(the mod's contents, a bunch of files)

If you set it up like this, it will work.

    EDIT:

Take a look at the video below V

Mods from Russian sites are bad quality (Most Times) My advice is to download mods from the BeamNG forums (This forum). I have made by WhyBeAre to determine the difference between Russian mods and mods uploaded on the BeamNG forums. And how to install mods properly.

Make sure you download them from this website (www.beamng.com)... that should be a good start. If they come from the Mods repository here that's even better - those mods are all supposed to be drop-in compatible. Mods published here on the forums may or may not work just by dropping them in your mods folder. If not they should explain the installation procedure at the same place you get the download.

If mods don't work you may take a look inside the zip file to check the structure, as described by randomshortguy. I'd focus on acquiring mods which work rather than fixing mods which do not work. If they don't work out of the box (without good reason) then the author probably made many other errors as well...

I would not know how to fix any problems with a mod as i don't have much knowledge on editing or programing
I have however been finding a few map's that do work as well as some vehicles
