We will soon be able to drop explosive barrels from the SkyRider Bolide: ...as soon as a couple mods I just posted are cleared by the admins. Here's a demo video of some SkyLifter shenanigans:
This is quite literally just a bottom hook for the bolide, besides, we already have a full skyrider system for all cars, I could just use a D series instead
Absolutely, you could use a D-Series SkyRider to drop a barrel. If you're rolling the barrel out the back of the bed, aiming might be trickier because it's rolling backwards relative to the truck, but it could be done. I just picked the SkyRider "Classic" because "Ultimate" wasn't available yet when I started working on barrel drops.
Skipping a barrel across the water towards a target sounds like a challenging but effective naval warfare technique. If a vessel is under come kind of cover (in a cave, etc), can we still attack it by skipping a barrel at it? Some tests to perform might be the following: Can we skip a barrel across the water without the barrel detonating on impact with the water? What kind of forward velocity/altitude combinations result in successful skipping? When the barrel "bounces" during skipping, can it bounce high enough to strike the aircraft that dropped it? Can we skip (bounce/roll/slide) a barrel across the ground if it's dropped from a low enough altitude so that it doesn't explode on touchdown?
It's been a while since I tried something like this, but I think Phoulkon missiles can be launched from underwater and hit a surface or air target. However, missiles launched above the water will detonate on the water's surface if they're going fast enough on impact. I'll have to try this again to verify. I think the ME262's missiles act the same way, so a Phoulkon underwater defense system might be immune to attack from the air.
That's why torpedo parachutes exist, make some sort of airbrake on the torpedo and make it triggered when the speed of the torpedo is higher than the safe range --- Post updated --- Pressure rooms + some sort of onboard spinner to accelerate it

I added Google Drive links to my copies of the ME262 and Phoulkon to HappyHusky's unofficial announcement post. My ME262 has the brake fix, but not the texture fix, yet. I added a mobile base to my Phoulkon so that it can be placed on the deck of a ship or a reinforced flatbed trailer.
There's something suspicious happening on Jungle Rock Island. Somebody clear-cut the trees from the side of the runway, removed the old, wasted control tower, and is now landing transport aircraft: Who's landing planes and why? That doesn't look like an easy landing, so whatever they're up to must really be worth the crash risk. More details to follow as our agents gather intel...
I was at the auction, but a shell company named "ACME" outbid me. "ACME" sounds like a fake company that's really front for covert ops. I snooped around the island a bit. It looks like the airstrip is fully operational. They've even started repairing the roof of the hangar: "Beam Delivery" sounds more legit than "ACME", but it still seems like a front. I climbed to the top of the mountain to get a better overall view of the island, and I saw something odd in the caldera lake: That looks like a submerged tunnel with a ramp descending to it. I hid in the bushes for a while to eat lunch and observe the lake. I didn't have to wait long before I heard the characteristic hum of large industrial motors. I'm guessing the sound was coming from large pumps because in under a minute the level of the lake dropped far enough to reveal what is, in fact, a tunnel: Whoever built this really wanted to keep it hidden, whatever it is. I slowly and quietly crept closer to the tunnel to get a better look down it, and I saw a military-looking blast door just a bit down the tunnel: What's in there that would necessitate such a door? Just then, the blast door opened and I had to hide quickly. From my hiding spot I watched a military vehicle leave the tunnel and drive up the ramp: After the vehicle passed, I snuck into the facility. I think I found the control room for the lake water level and the blast door in the tunnel: I slipped back out of the facility the way I came in and made my escape off the island. Since whatever's happening on the island might be a significant military threat in the area, I reported my findings to The Admiral who kicked it up the chain of command. I've been assigned the task of gathering more intel.
You : *questions about who us behind these military installations* Me : " How the Heck did a cargo plane made a U-turn on this Airstrip ?" --- Post updated --- Btw , since the island is an ex-Japanese ( military) territory, shouldn't japan's governement be informed ?
