--- Post updated --- https://www.mediafire.com/file/vukwsfrh8ea0x3e/Airport.blend/file you have two weeks to download it
Idk the map is separated in about 150 parts the airport is something like 10 of them and each part takes longer and longer to import into blender so i've never tried to import everythi'g at once
the airport is the selected parts they are larger than the other parts of the map because the airport is really just a big empty space
Upon exporting the model to .dae, I noticed a disgusting amount of objects, specifically 30k. Now, beamng .dae imports tend to break at about 2-3k objects for me, so you can imagine how smoothly that would go with over ten times that amount of objects As for textures, that's where I've also got an issue. The textures do not export with the .dae, mostly cause I lack the source of the textures. That could easily be prevented if you were to send me something like a folder with all the airport textures.
don't ask about the blue one --- Post updated --- file>external data>unpack ressources>use files in current directory (create when necessary) after that save and the dae will export with SOME of the textures the missing one you can find them in the texture folder of your .blend but they won't be linked to your material you'll needd to do that yourself in beamng --- Post updated --- and for beamng import clicking on an object in blender then shift+g>type then join everything into a large object it's dirty but it does the job --- Post updated --- half textures missing, the signs and barriers are still there but here is your airport --- Post updated --- i can't bleive it went from 1.25Gb to less than 300Mb
Oh and i have to add that i used https://www.beamng.com/resources/simple_map.3470/ from Nadeox1 as the base because i don't know how to make a map from scratch (sky, sun etc) i should probably had asked permission before (woops)
I wouldn't go as far as calling that a beta but it's something. I'll try to fix the textures before moving to another area (and remove the signs and barrier too)
If the map doesn't works for you it's maybe my fault please let me know if it works --- Post updated --- i am going to get a gpu (i currently have a r7 240) so i can work faster on the map
Hard to do because i set the collision to visible mesh final --- Post updated --- I will just remove them for now and figure something out afterward
This was my first game I ever played on the PS3 and I have it on my pc as well. Honestly I'm absolutely happy that this is being done. I'd go as far as saying this is the best NFS map ever. Also it is nice seeing a map maker who is new yet learning so quickly.
Yeah i still haven't found a way around about some textures not being linked to their materials and there is just no way that i do everything by hand* so i'll put everything "as is" with all the textures in a separate folder if anybody has the time to do it. * i'll at least do the roads textures and the trees maybe
