Nuff said really. The Satsuma 210 had this (besides the sliding doors) so it is possible, it would be pretty cool to have instead of having to break open the doors.
This would be a nice feature, although the devs probably would not want to spend time on it because, at the moment, there really isn't a good reason for the doors to open on cars. I think the time would be better spent working on career mode and UI improvements.
That's true. Those are good for allowing physical cargo to be loaded onto a vehicle. I was more specifically referring to passenger doors, but since there are no "passengers" in the game that can leave and enter vehicles, there is not yet a reason for side doors to be able to open and close. If somebody wanted to, i'm sure a mod could be made that adds this to official vehicles.

The only mod I know of that still works (that opens a hinge) is the Openable Roamer hatch by Garvil T85.

Doesn't really count, but that would be super cool too, like if your engine literally explodes the front end explodes into bits also some sort of like burn marks, like if your car bursts into flame afterwards it's burned up or something
