Yeah, it was pretty good, the police version had a gun, and i dont think the swedish police have guns in the front seat. It was also a bit glitchy but it was a good mod.

 

Are there sketches or pictures of that? The only Jargls I’ve seen or heard of are a european semi (lore friendly fix/rebadge of @synsol’s old Scania truck mod) and engine mods for the T-series and Wentward by @Capkirk

One could argue that I'm stretching the definition a bit, but for the purposes of overlap with the Albatross sketch the Bluebuck and Moonhawk are close enough.

The Bluebuck Marshall only comes in a 4-door sedan, but it's still a luxury flagship (assuming it takes the same market position in Gavril as the Impala did in Chevrolet) and with 2 clicks it can be a 2 door pillarless sedan anyway. If we ever get marque and mainline versions of the same platforms then Burnside could easily get a true luxury 2 door on the platform.

The Moonhawk kind of floats in between market segments, so we really just have to wait and see if the remaster puts it fully into volume or luxury segments (or splits it into 2 cars to fill either niche). Again for the purpose of this conversation it's close enough.

I'm not saying I don't want a late 1960's personal luxury coupe, especially if it's FF like the gen 1 Toronado (which would be a great gen 1 Wendover), just that this niche is crowded by cars we already have and therefore it is extremely low priority as there's many completely empty niches atm.

 

I wouldn't really consider those vehicles luxury coupes. The Bluebuck is technically a 2-door sedan, and I wouldn't ever consider the Moonhawk a luxury car (and I'm pretty sure it is a midsize, not a fullsize).

 

While on paper the Moonhawk is a midsized, she isn't that far from the Bubu's footprint. As I said, she is currently floating inbetween segments but by the mid/late 1970's most of the A-Bodies were in a similar situation. All she really needs is a Landau top and "luxe" config.

As for the Bluebuck: I wouldn't really be splitting hairs over the difference between a 2 door pillarless sedan and a 2 door pillarless coupe for the purpose of this conversation. In fact, the Impala 2 door pillarless sedan was called the "sport coupe" (See below image).

These two plus the Albatross would give us three cars of similar era, size, drivetrain (probably at least), driving feel, and market segment.

 

Given the etymology of the french term "coupè" ("cut"), a proper coupè is either supposed to have a shorter wheelbase or at least a sleeker roofline than its sedan counterpart.

Simply dropping the rear doors would make any car just a 2dr sedan, no matter how the manufacturer calls it...

Both Ford and GM had 2 door sedans marketed as coupes (I already mentioned the Impala and the same applies to many B-Bodies and Fords.). If the contemporary manufactures and consumers would have called the 2 door Bluebuck a coupe then it's appropriate to call it as such. Even if it is technically "wrong", it is the contextually correct language to use. If a luxury vehicle is marketed as a "coupe" then it seems fair to call it a luxury coupe.

 

Thanks for explaining the actual difference between a two door sedan and a coupe. I have always wondered what the difference is, and now I know!

 

I believe both manufacturers and consumers would have called the Bluebuck a 2dr sedan/2dr hardtop at best, because that's exactly what it is.

The Impala Sport Coupè in the early '60s is very much a borderline case, given that the Sport Coupè model was effectively a different bodystyle compared to the regular 2dr (by the time only available in the cheaper Bel Air lineup since the introduction of the so-called "convertible roof" arched design for all Sport models), as much as the Sport Sedan had a different, sportier roofline compared to the standard sedan.

We need a Group B car in this game, I'm quite surprised we don't have one yet.

 

Although I'd really like to see the Burnside Bacchus entering the lore of BeamNG as an ultra-luxury RWD 2-door megabarge and also the 1st-gen 60s Wendover you said, I completely agree with you on the empty niches. One of the most prominent ones, I think, is that of the minivans. Bruckell/Soliad and Ibishu could make for some strong competition!

Civetta is too expensive and too performance-focused for what you say. Autobello and Cherrier would be much more valid competitors to the Covet in the 80s/90s.
