Can you explain for dummies how to do this?
what part of it? the tricking into dev mode?
either gotta learn how to read dissasembled code in ghidra/ida and find the build strings, change them, and set the check lengths to match the new string length
or use something like astrogrep and find every check for '! something.shipping' and have it return true in the html/js/lua
That explains how you know so much about future updates, you just check stuff in the disassembled game code, this is something not many people here know how to do because it's not needed for modding at all unlike in some other games
I... see... welp, time to go download and learn another program
PBR has been confirmed
The offroad tires look so damn good & meaty
The "current" T-series textures in the video seem way better than we can get in game.
Also it says there will be a new ultra setting. I hope I can run it.
Interesting note - no sight of the Wigeon, which could hint that it's not that done, but there is a new Gridmap, although I cannot imagine there is no content beyond that. Not to say that this would then be a small update, but I would be surprised if this update is coming later than indicated (more than a month - remember the bluebuck trailer date?), that it doesn't include the Widgeon.
No, i think this part was no specular/with specular, so that photo is with pbr but no specular.
That looks pretty amazing, did sombody spot any other differences tho, as far as i can tell the Bolide is unchanged
is PBR going to take a hit on performance compared to right now?
This is breathtaking!
Also take a look at new gridmap
I don't like how the shadows look in the video. They're way to bright and don't get darker.
I like the part where the light hits the object and we see it
Bolide remaster when?
In any case, the PBR looks fantastic. Cars look less like plastic 1/64th scale models now.
The paint. Oh My God. The paint looks Amazing.
Don't think I'll be using the ultra setting any time soon though
It seems only vehicles (and maybe reflective materials on maps have fresnel now?) got the PBR facelift for now. Environments appear to still use the old system (understandable, considering the time needed to update all assets).
Will be interesting to see maps when they eventually get updated to PBR.
