The thing about that is the fact that the suspension on that seems very offroad focused and it would likely need a new chassis to accommodate proper racing suspension geometry and travel.
Yeah, I can agree that things may have gotten a Little harsh between Leeloo and Lucas. Leeloo has been working hard to pump out as many teasers as she did lately, I just think this was a not well timed one, combined with the hype she accidentally created caused misuderstanding about the teaser and caused some dissapointments as well. Lucas may have been hipocrit regarding what happens with his mods, but the issues were genuine with the teased contenc
Concept art has nearly always been a collage of traditional art and real photos edited to speed up the process. Just check out all the other concept art in every other racing game, let alone any other game. I think placing this specific piece of art front and center was not really a great idea for a teaser that was said to be big, but I don't think there's an issue as long as it's clear what is part of the concept and what is planned for the game.
Going mad over a teaser for it not teasing what they want enough like it is something developers owes to us and creating a pointless drama :clown:
Just a kind reminder, although I understand that y'all wanna have a piece in the argument and drama, i do not think we need to discuss this further, as i see people commenting on and on about the drama. Yes shit happens, yes we all saw hell break loose, but let's keep speculation going. I know this reply is not on topic either, but I think people fail to understand that ignoring and moving on would be much better than "having a say" in a drama Thank you.
Well, yes, but next time the teaser must be 100% about in-game content, not a known ATV. Today's teaser could have literally ANY of the official BeamNG cars. The game isn't about known brands anyway. Doesn't need them to be good.
I think that people are just really disappointed about the teaser because a lot of people feel it is a bit late for concept art. I also think a lot of people think that we should get vehicle pictures like last week instead of map art when we have already seem the map in game.
I agree with you - the ETK800 is a bit too modern for having such poor performance. The last of the NA I6 BMWs and NA V6 Mercs was ~2015. After that, it was turbo I4s and turbo 6s for the sport models (as you said, the C43 etc...) They should reconsider the engine options for the ETK cars by keeping them comparable to similar cars of their time. This also creates ambiguity of what type of cars the 800 and K series are. The styling of the 800 makes it look like it's the size of a 5-series, especially since the facias look similar to the F10, and the K series has such wide front quarters, yet the ridiculously outdated body and doors makes it seem like it's only a bit larger than a Miata. --- Post updated --- That one was probably taken from the thumbnail of a Matt's Off Road Recovery video, whereas the green one was from Arctic Cat's Catalogue!
I believe BMW stopped NA I6s when the E90 3er got out of production in early 2012. Then the N55 Twin-Power Turbo was universally used across the BMW lineup, taking the place of both the NA I6s and the beloved Twin-Turbo N54. Mercedes stopped its NA V6s when the W205 C-Class was presented in early 2014. As for Audi, it already was using its Supercharged V6 in the S4 since 2009. In any case, no, I don't think the 800 isn't fast enough. Maybe if we're talking about the NA 856t (which is good to exist, I believe), but the Turbocharged 856t doesn't feel like it's missing oomph. I mean, the factory Turbocharged I6 has 500Nm/369lb-ft!
There isn't a standard turbo 6 C class, just the C450/C43 AMG. The non-M 3 series had the N54,N55 and it's successor the B58. My gripe comes from how BMW does not have M branding for this car, save for the M340i which blows the 800 TTsport+ out of the water, yet the ETKs have TTsport branding (M/RS/AMG competitor) despite not even reaching the performance levels of the S4, 335i, or M340i, or C43. Yes, they launch hard, but that's it.
By chance the BeamNG Team might make a post on their social media about "one last teaser before the update"? Like they did the day before update 0.25 was released.
