They said the dev team had completely switched to vulkan and it’s also no longer marked as experimental in the launcher
It's all but been confirmed that this is the sunburst remaster, but what's the possibility that they're doing an SBR remaster at the same time? It did get the racing bodykit and a few extra configs in 0.33, but it's also had many prior revisions to the body shape, so they're unlikely to need to reshape the whole car in a remaster. It's also already got the recently redone engine meshes featured in the piccobuggy and now the sunburst, generally it may only need a "refresh" unless they want to get funky with revising the JBeam structure (I'm honestly not up with all the advancements in JBeam witchcraft as of late). simply put, if they're making a bunch of new modern hirochi chassis art, why not turn it around backwards and stick it under the SBR?
Just tried Vulcan again and it still doesn't work at all. Gets stuck loading, then freezes and goes back to the main menu. Kinda weird. Really hope that's fixable.
The SBR honestly doesn't need too much, the Sunburst remaster would theoretically provide new assets the SBR would borrow from. With Hirochi only having 2 street cars, which are similar in model year and market segment, it would make sense for the team to look at them at the same time. I really hope a refreshed SBR will take some inspiration from the KLJP mod. The front fender vents and new front end from that mod look so good on the car.
If we get an SBR remaster with this update as a sort of Hirochi overhaul (Kinda like the ETKs way back when) what do y'all want for it? Better sounds, more configs, different styling/proportions, etc?
good point, I do wonder if the appropriate changes will be made to the sbr4 because there does seem to be a lot that carries over from each car and now the drivetrain seems to be shared
No, steam just finally made private branches truly private so we cannot see when it is updated. Creator program still exists
It's a 2019 HP Envy laptop with I think a Ryzen 5 5500U with six cores or something like that and AMD Radeon graphics. Not amazing.
Now that would be a dream come true! The Sunburst may be my favorite, but the SBR is a very close 3rd! (The Bruckell Bastion is my 2nd favorite.)
I have suspected that it could be teasing the fence prop that creates the outline of the amogus. le beam was the first one to point this out, with Kevin_Hahn also noticing hidden characters in the image that reads "FEN" if read from top to bottom.
i see a lot of people talking about adjusting the sunburst's model years i don't think it's necessary. comparing it with other cars of its era, it doesn't look too out of place. plus, the game lacks any frutiger aero era cars. i think the only changes they would need to make would be to the rs trim here's a really rough sketch as to what that might look like
I have a desktop version of the Ryzen 5 5500, it's a great CPU that still has plenty of headroom for most games. What GPU does it have? Anything under 6gb VRAM sucks with Vulcan, and then again 6gb VRAM is apparently hit or miss with it too.
