Nadeox posted this image in the Community Screenshots - does anybody recognize the roof rack on this Roamer from a mod? Strangely enough, today is the one-year anniversary of the release of the Winter Snowman Hunt mod, but the mod itself is nowhere to be found on the forums or repository. Where did it go? When will it be back?
NO! it was my fault for starting that whole shitshow up, I don't want it again. Anyways.... i really wonder what happened to the articulated dt40l...
If you want to start a fight, go ahead but then bad consequences will happen so please think before you post. Thank you...
1st thing... It would no longer be "DT40L" DT is the model number 40 Is lenght in ft L means "Low Floor" so judging by how "New Flyer" went about articulated bus the Wentward in articulated spec would be DT60L Picture of New Flyer D60LF bus for reference: I assume the thing which is holding up the developement of the articulated variant is the Stability Controll system which from my understanding prevents the trailer part from jackknifing the whole thing if you accelerate mid corner. Coming up with a realistic looking and spike-free solution for the joint cover (the grey thing which "connects" the 2 parts of the bus together). I assume those are the 2 hardest parts of the bus (at least those are the 2 which made me put the creation of an articulated spec off for now). One thing to keep in mind is, is the fact that there isn't much documentation (that i could find) on the strength of the articulation joint.
Diesel Turbo 40 Low Floor. It doesn't even sound right... Look, it might be an acronym... But it doesn't sound right once you describe the acronym... So it might be both, or just the Model Number.
it could stand for that, it doesn't change the fact that they'd have to change the name of the vehicle in vehicles selector to allow for different kinds of buses (reason why every bus in my wentward pack has its own category). TBH, untill we get an official gasoline powered bus we can't really tell. one thing I am 90% sure is the fact that number indicated the lenght and "L" stands for Low floor. DT could either stand for engine or just a model range.
The New Flyer D40LF and the Wentward DT40L is the model not just the DT or D. The 'whole' name is then broken down to designate each of the models For the New Flyer: D = Diesel 40 = 40 ft LF = Low-floor For the Wentward: DT = Diesel-turbo 40 = 40 ft L = Low 'floor' as it has no F for possibly copyright issues maybe.
To clear up the doubts and things that are not being understood: Terrains are not infinite. They can have different sizes, and there's an upper-limit to their size. This is the WCA terrain: Like a canvas, you have a limited space where you can paint. You cannot paint if the canvas ends. Here you can see how the bridge is very near to be out of bounds. In the original plan the bridge was not supposed to be drive-able even. But as many requested that, and was not excessively trivial to do so, then why not. The end of the bridge is way out of the terrain bounds, so adding terrain features there is not possible. Adding a whole fully-feature island although is a completely different story, beyond the original plan and what's technically possible to add there.
So Mitch could add a floating island over the city to satisfy the need for an island in WCUSA! /s Could always use the old forgotten 'Developer Section' Response Thread, it usually served the same purpose as this thread
the fact of a bus being articulated isn't as important as it being a Low Floor bus from usability stand point, so just Wentward DT60L would be more suitable --- Post updated --- Also if a bus is 60ft long it is logical that it will be articulated. My DT45L with 3 axles is already pushing it as far as non articulated buses go.
