https://www.reddit.com/r/BeamNG/comments/d7ghwv/whats_wrong_with_ai/ Hotfix will be out "soon" according to Nadeox.
I wonder why the hot fix has taken so long to release. The AI issue has been listed as "fixed for next hotfix" on the discussion thread for awhile and that's a big enough issue to warrent a dedicated hotfix.
https://documentation.beamng.com/user_interface/index.html#id2 Obviously just an extremely bare bones page in the WIP documentation system, but there are clear distinctions between the old and new UI, possibly hinting at the WIP release of the new UI sometime in the future.
I wouldn’t be blown away if we say the revamped Roamer, D-Series, or H-Series in this upcoming hotfix. It seems a little soon for a vehicle revamp maybe, but that’s a possible explanation for why it’s taken so long to come out.
Either that or they've been aggressively been trying to fix the game crash issues that some users have been reporting.
Oh. So it's not just me having serious hang ups with this update? Also The vehicle config can forget parts you selected when you unpause.
We are seeking if there's more fixes that can be fit in the hotfix, rather than having a hotfix just for one thing.
I wonder if the Grand Marshal will get a new woodless interior. While I know I'm about to get roasted and sent to hell for saying this but, It would be nice to have a woodless option. Having wood in a 90's PD car seems...... out of place, and you know more options.
Don't know why I'd roast and send you to hell, because what you say makes sense. A woodless interior would not only make sense with the police configuration. but also the lower trim configurations, the ones not meant to be fancy, higher trim configurations.
All of the cars need additional interior options. Removed door pannels are nice, but the mostly factory race car interiors and lack of equipment on emergency vehicles isn't great for the immersion factor.
Always thought the rear end needed a rework on the bolide, the tailights just weren't that special and the wheels seemed low poly
More than that; The Bolide is one of the official cars that needs to be entirely remodeled from the ground up... Along with the fact that virtually every vehicle made solely by @gabester before the Hopper was made needs a complete texture and interior refresh... They all kinda remind me of his older RoR cars, which is not a good thing. There needs to be more attention and detail given to the exterior of the vehicle... Supercars are typically the canvas used for expressing forward and modern thinking by the studios that design them. Overrated IMHO yes, but IRL they're made to be attention grabbers, and the Bolide isn't one; It's about as bland as a C4 Corvette. I don't have any design ideas in mind currently (Not like the devs would listen to a complete design rework anyway,) but I'd try and go for a mostly original design with a more prominent and more detailed wedge shape similar to say the Lancia Stratos Zero Concept car (Not the later Stratos, which has nothing to do with this concept.) Take more influence from the various Bertone Concept cars of the late 60s early 70s than what was produced later... Taking design inspiration from the original concepts would help provide some much needed design originality. Interior-wise, well anything other than what we have currently. Get rid of the plastic looking seats and plastic looking dashboard and replace them with leather bucket seats and a fully asymmetrical dashboard with some sort of expensive high-quality padding (Leather for instance.) If I were the lead vehicle artist, I would certainly be pushing for that to be a priority now, especially with tdev looking to push Career out soon and possibly push the game out of Alpha with it. Or simply cut the Bolide and replace it with a more thought out original supercar. Now that I think about it I'm probably going to wake up later and regret posting this.
