I haven't checked with latest version, but trunk was not jbeamed for putting anything in there and that might be reason why there is no option to open it. Or my memory lies to me again.
Screenshot doesn't really do it justice, but I tried. The video is made by Nadeox1 as showcase for the Phoulkon CIWS mod by Stoat Muldoon. Also, from the mod description: https://www.beamng.com/resources/phoulkon-ciws.10397/
Fair enough. I do think the devs should update the Roamer eventually. I think that they should jbeam the trunk and add an option to open the tailgate.
The "debris" seems to just be the bullets from the turret, since as far as I know they are physical objects ingame & don't disappear after hitting stuff. As for shattered glass, I didn't see anything like it (Reddit post says it's there)
At the very start of the gif, you can see the glass of the windscreen shatter. As for the debris, they don't seem to be physical objects but rather some sort of effect. But yeah, could have to do with the mod. Someone should test it. EDIT: seems to be poorly visible on phone, try PC instead
EDIT: https://www.beamng.com/resources/phoulkon-ciws.10397/ Here's the mod, it would be great if someone could test it and see if that is what is creating the particles. It's hard to see, but you can see it when the back glass shatters too. Even if those particles are just from the guns, we're absolutely seeing new glass particles.
If they were physical objects, they would be moving smoothly like the rest of the car, but they clearly stutter as they move. They move in the exact same way the sparks do. It's because they're not simulated at 2k hertz like all other physical objects in the game.
I've tried both versions of the cannon but I can't seem to replicate the black particles effect. Has anyone else tested it yet? By the way, it kicks ass lol
In that case.. They might actually be new particle effects. Just wondering why they stutter.. Have you tried shooting a car with the turret?
Damn, looks like we're getting new particle effects next update then. They look pretty good. It'll make collisions look a lot more smooth and realistic, always felt like something was lacking with them..
I think on the right side of the image, the ai can travel two ways on the left boundaries lanes, which shouldn't be the case.
I can't 100% say this for sure, but I think I do remember having a few traffic issues on that bridge as well. I hope the devs fix that issue in the upcoming Utah update. By the way, I remember a post @FPSCanarussia made about map updates on this thread. I remember him saying that Jungle Rock Island is big enough to get it's own update and that Small Island USA would get remastered along with Utah, but I could be entirely wrong. I've sadly heard nothing from the BeamNG team about Small Island USA, Industrial Site/Port, or Jungle Rock Island getting renovated or updated yet which is a shame, because those maps are old and are in need of updating. I also think the Pigeon needs an update as well. The trailers will probably need updates and expansions eventually. By the way, once all of the current official Beamng.Drive maps are remastered and updated. I think someone should make a thread ranking BeamNG maps from BEST to WORST, but they don't have to do it if they don't want to. I just think it would be a good idea. Anyways, West Coast USA kinda looks it will start to show it's age eventually. It doesn't look very old now, but It will start aging eventually. Also, speaking of West Coast USA. I do not think it is a finished map. I think it needs more development and expansion. I love driving around on it, but I do think it needs some work done on it. As far as Utah goes, The sign models in the trailers and pictures for this new update look much better the the remastered East Coast USA or Hirochi Raceway sign models. I'm not saying those sign models are bad, but the Utah ones look much better. By the way, does anyone else want this new Utah update for Christmas? I certainly want the update for Christmas, but it will still be great, even if it doesn't release on Christmas .
The reason that they are nearly the same length is that the D-series and Roamer have an identical chassis. In fact, you used to have to select the roamer from the D-series vehicle selector.
The fact that the mods discussed recently are designed to work well with features "in the next update" indicates that the update may be coming soon. We could see it next week potentially.
