Outdated Updated Shiftlogic Automatic Transmissions 4.34

Sorry, I suffered from anhedonia since half a month before 0.24 update so I stopped playing video games altogether(I'm unable to enjoy the Bastion since discovering new content feels like doing chores). This update is going to be delayed even further.
Feel free to post your own updates of this mod(both in reply and in making new thread(s)/resources(es)). Permission is granted.

Since i have absolutely no knowledge of modding stuff like this i have to rely on humble modders like you and hope you get to it some of these days!
I absolutely love your mod and hope you can have some fun again with playing and modding BeamNG one of these days!
My fiancee is suffering from heavy psychological conditions since her early teens so i know a little how this must feel for you.

Hey, not trying to steal thunder or anything, but when/if you want to get back into modding, and if you want a partner in crime, I'm actually working on my own set of GM Based transmissions with custom shiftlogics (A continuation of my Semi-Auto mod that ended up going nowhere as I never bothered to upload my transmissions themselves), including Manual Shift Body emulation.

 

If you are handy enough maybe you could lend him a hand updating this mod for him until he is willing and capable of!

For some reason i cant update it because the repository still has the old version but i see you done the Bastion transmission and probably the double shifter in the pessima, i could already kiss you!

Updates go live first on this site and then after 1 or more hours at ingame repository, there is a delay

The 9AT transmission for the FCV has suddenly gone missing.

The vanilla DCT is utter garbage so it would be really cool to see it improved with this amazing mod.

Almost there, almost.

 

Honestly there has been a serious improvement on DCTs, still a bit brutal but it shift up faster (but still too slowly) and smoother in calm driving, and the kickdowns are perfect now.

 

Still a problem, is that the low throttle 1st upshift 2nd RPM is too high

 

I didn't said they were perfect, but they managed to solve problems that you didn't managed to (kickdowns, smooth shifts) so im sure you can make something fantastic.

 

I love this man.
Period.

I compared the original lua files between 0.24 and 0.25, and edit the modded lua accordingly, to make sure non-modified codes stick to the latest game version.

 

I've noticed slower 0-62 times when using these transmissions, particularly the DCT's and not so much the automatics, when compared to the BeamNG stock counterparts. For instance, the Vivace 1.6 DCT usually does 0-62 in 7.5 seconds, while the DCT provided in this mod adds a second to that. Perhaps the stock one is unrealistically quick, but the mod one does feel slower off the line. I'll try launching them at various RPM's instead of from idle and will report back later.

 

I haven't touched the Vivace DCT for ages, after all these game update, It might be necessary for another tuneup to meet the higher standard of modern transmissions.

 

That could be it too, it may only be the Vivace. I'll try all different vehicles and let you know how it goes

Using the stock-equivalent transmissions from your mod pack:
Scintilla: No difference
SBR4 TTS2: +0.6 sec
Vivace 160: +0.9 sec
Bruckell LeGran Sport SE V6: +0.1 sec
Bruckell Legran SE 2.5 Wagon: +0.4 sec

 

So it looks to me like they may just not be up to date - either way, I'm very happy with the Scintilla transmissions!
