btw. If some configs like Gtx should win I cant promise that I can do the original rims because I have 0 experience with them and would suck at doing them.. OT: What do you think about adding some columns between the hood and door panels ?
Any progress? This is looking good. Any progress on trying to get in to the game yet or just modeling?
yea, I've tried once but looks shit as you can see... --- Post updated --- new progress too: made some wipers.
In the things that you could improve, the real car has curved pillars and side glasses. You can see the windshield has a little curve where your model has a straight line yet, same goes for the glasses,A, B, and C pillars: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/97/VW_Scirocco_front_20080703.jpg
Hello guys, I have to say that I found a really nice model of exactly the same Scirocco Im working on currently. The exterior of this one is way better than mine (I even tried to improve mine the last days but I failed) Anyways I'd like to ask You if you want me to keep on working on my own model or keep on working from the one I found? I mean , do you want the model in end to be scratch made or just best quality. It would be , that I use all the interior, engine and underchassis parts I made but use the exterior of the new model. I will let you vote since I cant really decide... http://www.strawpoll.me/12654428/r New model: As you can see even this model needs improvement and is currently also missing a front suspension which I would have to model aswell too. --schumacher--
Honestly use your own, it will be worth it. No having to deal with other people, copyright, and you made your model so you know exactly how it is built and where there are issues and where there aren't. As soon as you open another model everything changes, and stuff is missing, or different from the way you do it.
I'm not mega sure what you could could do either, but as Inertia said, you wont have to deal with copyright issues if you use your own. Also, when you were to finish yours, you can sit down and say, this is mine. Unlike the one you found, which did have some of your parts, you cannot really do that. So really, it's up to you mostly; copyright & detail or yours & 'proudness'.
I suggest you to continue with your own model, I think it's more satisfying Also the point of making a mod first of all is to make experience, not to satisfy a "customer" so let's go with "bad quality" but scratchmade. (It's a suggestion obviously )
