Released Wentward Expansion Pack - Discussion thread 5.9.2

It says "Outdated" though.

 

It says "Released" on my side.

 

The DT40L Expansion Pack was merged into this mod 3 years ago.
It is Outdated because the Wentward Pack mod now includes these variants for the DT40L as well as the other buses.
This is also stated on the Expansion Pack's repository page.

 

May I ask about a 3-door version of DT40L?

 

How about being able to replace seats with cargo XL boxes?

as that would be perfect as for the out of the box bus i got a mod for it as well

it would be perfect to be able to add them to the expanded buses too.

This happens occasionally when the game hasn't properly mounted the mod.
Please make sure to restart the game before reporting this. I test all mods in safe mode before release to avoid corruption like this.

 

I love this mod so much, there is only one small problem, all ETK (or in general European) buses do not work, that is when you put the gear in it does not go forward, and the Italy 6D120 version (always with the ETK engine) has no sound

Are you interested in making a doble decker DT40L?

 

With the new 0.34 Update, all the lights except the front low and high beam are just white boxes when turned on, which means they have no texture on any bus. Please try to fix this for the next update of this mod. Thank you!

 

This is the "Importing Texture" material - the game is converting the actual material's PNG files into DDS.
The lights are not custom. Reload the vehicle with CTRL+R or restart the game.

 

please make hybrid variants to the pack only if it is possible

 

I wasn't clear in the review, sorry about that.
In RLS, people use the buses for taxi missions, but the buses in this pack don't show the correct number of seats. It just says 3 seats available, the beam DT40L has 44. The Hirochi Aero mod has the same issue.

 

Would be nice if we could use the wentward expansion pack for RLS bus Taxi missions

Just wanted to say thanks as this mod is truly well made and adds a lot of variety / versatility to the Wentward bus. My personal suggestions would be to:

1. Re-add the N/A intake for the 8.9L that was present in older BeamNG versions for those seeking extra challenge.
2. Nest the bus variants under one bus for a cleaner appearance in the vehicles UI.
3. Keep this going, I love the natural gas, super short and extra long variants. As someone else suggested, perhaps a double decker, or a bi-articulated version in the future?

I was wondering if I would be able to merge my Wentward Transmission Pack mod with your articulated and smaller buses? I was planning on making it compatible with your mod, and then uploading it to the repository, but I want to make sure its alright with you.

I'd bet that you could do it with only basic understanding of JBEAM. I did it several times with the T-Series, and it's actually very easy to do.

 

I had a look at their jbeam, and they use a custom slot called "citybus_ai_transaxle", which basically acts as a common folder, but only for this mod if that makes any sense.

Anyway, I tried duplicating the 6spd AT for the DT60L, and replacing the ratios, sounds, name etc with my own, and it removed all the gearboxes from the DT60L. Only way to fix it was to remove my own.

I have done transmission swaps before, and they are pretty easy, it's just that these slotTypes must have some properties that only accept certain types
