Hello All, What's your favourite BeamNG race track/circuit and why is it your favourite? Make sure to post the link below! (Trying to make FR18 Championship!)
Automation Test Track, Kurupae Hirochi Raceway West Coast USA, Motorsport Park Are we talking about modded tracks as well?
Road Atlanta - Ewanc Toban Raceway - HighDef Austrian Raceway - TheGameLix2 Trial Mountain - Ewanc Lime Rock Park - Ewanc Grand Valley Speedway - Ewanc RG Mega Motor Park - racerguy24 ATE-ONA Raceway - Josh2009ers Crorf International Raceway - NoBodey76 I have got some older, real racetracks as well. However, those are pretty outdated [all tarmac + sticky barriers] and we might have issues with track limits. There is a heavy W.I.P. Nordschleife as well
Automation Test Track Road Atlanta/Lime Rock Park Austrian Raceway Grand Valley Speedway Toban Trail Mountain DISLIKE 1. orrf International - No barriers/few barriers, so unrealistic crashes 2. West Cost USA Race track - Lag 3. Indonapolis - Only Oval
My favorite subject! As for the best tracks for the FR18; I don't know of any pure F1 tracks in the game yet that are 100% ported, and not mesh dumps. Monaco is hilarious, and Spa would be a great one. Here's a few F1 tracks I found, but yeah, they are mesh dumps and not purpose built for this game and don't perform good enough for an F1 car to turn a good lap. They can be bumpy, laggy and usually lack terrain types for grass and sand traps and of worst all no AI. Monaco https://www.beamng.com/threads/circuit-de-monaco.7599/ Monza https://www.beamng.com/threads/autodromo-nazionale-monza-1988.4010/ Tsukuba https://www.beamng.com/threads/tsukuba-circuit.7448/ Bathhurst and Laguna Seca are out there too and are awesome race tracks, but I think they are also obsolete mesh dump mods. Ive already made my favorite road courses, but they aren't specifically for F1 either.
Its not that hard to properly port a map. The main thing is the terrain needs to be converted to Torque3D terrain. This opens it up for decal roads, AI, ground cover, forests, and terrain painting. It also allows for smoothing of rough edges and adding new roads and terrain details without any knowledge of 3D modeling.
