I made this for new members a while ago, so here it is...

Advice for surviving on the forums:

If a thread goes rapidly downhill, jump ship ASAP. Don't get caught in a ban wave

If there starts to be a weird trend on the forums, steer clear.

Don't post a 1 star review for a mod that doesn't work. That generally gets people mad.

Don't EVER use "Russian" mods (Those sketchy sites with licensed car mods). Again, controversial subject.

Reread the freaking post! I catch so many mistakes that way, and no-one wants to think of you as an idiot.

Be nice to the Devs... They hold the ban hammer. Although, they are pretty fair.

Don't bump threads.

Take a while to make a good, quality post. People respect you when you do that.

If there are rules for a thread, follow them. It makes it easier for everyone.

Don't swear. The moderators don't like it.

Make friends. Trust me, good things happen...

Spell words correctly.

If you think something is funny to post, think it through... It could escalate into a mess rather quickly, and getting banned wouldn't be fun.

But above all else, don't be a jerk. No one likes jerks...

I've been following BeamNG since 2014. I may have just joined, and bought the game last year, but I have seen pretty much everything.
