Hi!, i'm Giorgio, i'm from italy and i need some help with creating some modded buses for beamng.drive! can someone help. cheers. Edit: i already have a 3d model.
What's even wrong with it, the KamAZ is cool The 3D model is not enough, and did you make it yourself or downloaded some random model online?
Now it will be hard to find good working mods, because we had an update that broke some mods. But: -Gavril CB40: really good mod, not sure if something is broken or not, -Dansworth C1500: Gavril CB40, but crazier, flying bus included. Might be pretty broken, -Dansworth D2500: More European looking, don`t ask about bugs, there is a lot of them. And there is the Wendov- I mean Wentward Edit: Ignore what I wrote above because I misread first post
it's downloaded but i have the permission of the creator, and i know 3d model isn't all the work but a big part, it has also textures and materials, i "only" need help with the programming of the mod
it's an IVECO U-Effeuno, an italian bus produced from 1984 to 1989, in almost 2400 exemplars --- Post updated --- ciao, felice di vedere qualche italiano su BeamNG.drive --- Post updated --- i was thinking about doing this bus first because it's quite different from the wenteard dt40l, but in the future, if this turns out being a good start, i could do also an IVECO Citiclass CNG, and other buses like MANs and Van Hools. all depends on this forum, if someone can help me with programming, then i'll go on with more and more buses.
Hello. Wrong section but I think vintage buses with proper sounds would be cool. 60's or 90's would be a good place to start, I'm thinking vintage British buses but maybe that wouldn't interest you since you're from Italy. Anyway, good luck I'd love to see some buses
CB40 (aka Freightliner FS-65) is still working perfectly. Dansworth C1500 is EXTREMELY outdated and has many bugs, also breaks H-series textures so I would not recommend downloading until/unless it gets updated. Dansworth D2500 still works, I have not had any issues with it but I'm not sure if others may have problems. Also the D2500 is not european it's an american type D.
https://www.beamng.com/threads/maz-bus-203-resurrected.52001/ there is this too, i have no idea if it still works --- Post updated --- it does work, just has no sound
Don't even bother. Why do people come to these forums asking stupid questions? 3D model downloaded off the internet, no idea how to model or Jbeam and clearly no idea how to even make a meshslap. If you don't know, then leave it to those who do. Truth is I've seen thousands of these posts and the only one that came from nowhere is the Ford Focus mod which still hasn't been released.
Don't listen to priusrepellant lest you get discouraged. Although dude, I'd suggest starting from making a prop. Vehicles are a much harder thing to do. Here's a good link to get you started: https://wiki.beamng.com/Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation Only thing is that the blender exporter is outdated, so I'd suggest export your render to an .OBJ and import it into the BNEditor (go to steam library, right click on beam.ng, click on system files, go to common, utils, and click on BNEditor.exe. and then click on import nodes and beams from .OBJ. only problem is that it multiplies the nodes on top of each other...)
if you have read my first post, you would know that i created this thread to get help in modding, if i knew how to create mods, i wouldn't be here asking help. Cheers, Giorgio.
Hello Giorgio. Have you tried checking the wiki on information? How much do you know so far? I would suggest resizing the jbeam of the wentward to try and get into modding.
The problem is this isn't the place to ask. There's an entire Wiki with tutorials of how to create a mod. It's all there on the internet. There's also a modding support section on this forum I believe, but the category you've posted this thread on is for work in progress mods with something to show, not to ask how to mod.
Are you slow? People can come to the forums for help, do you think that other models instantly knew how to mod? No they did everyone starts from somewhere take your negative self somewhere else cuz ppl like You make the forums toxic
Well, what I would suggest you. Since you are new to modding, I would use the DT40L frame. And Before someone says that this is unrealistic, I can show you some things. For Example, This is a MB O500U bus frame: Usually, when as operator needs a new bus (or a fleet replacement), they contact a bus coachbuilder and especify the body model that suits its needs, and especify what frame they want. For example, if I want to buy Marcopolo bodies to use with the MB O500U frame, my options would be: the Torino Low Entry (), or the Viale BRS (). If I go to Caio, my options would be the Millenium IV (), or the Millenium BRT (). So, it is realistic that a company that produces complete buses, can produce the rolling frame to be used with other bodies. I know that the Iveco U-Effeuno is probably a Unibody bus, or its frame was built by Iveco too. Although bus frames are really not too different in design, and essentially the engines are the biggest difference between two Bus Frames. To conclude my point of view, use the DT40L Frame in your bus, so, you can focus more on the body itself. For the Engine, use the torque curve of the U- Effeuno and you'll have a solid base to play with.
