    The IRL vehicles mod list

    Potential questions:
    ​
    Why do i think the list deserves to exist?

    IRL vehicle mods have seen a surge in popularity within the BeamNG community in recent times. However, the search feature on this website is not necessarily known for being that great, and especially newer players might feel lost trying to find IRL vehicle mods while trying to avoid third party websites. That is why, i decided to make a list of almost all IRL vehicle mods on the forum as of update 0.37, or September 2025.

    "What makes it onto the list and what doesn’t?"

    Obvious examples that don't make it are mods not uploaded to the forum at all, or mods resembling IRL vehicles but rebadged for lore purposes. Mods made by separate people based on the same vehicle or even using the same 3D model are acceptable, as well as older mods that are still playable. In the latter case, given that they are often still being updated by other people, there can be a tag recommending the latest version found in the old thread or, if a new thread is opened, the new one will end up replacing the old one on the list to avoid having duplicates.

    "This mod is not working for me!"

    If any of these mods are not working as intended for you, try clearing your cache, deactivating other mods, or reinstalling the game, because they have been tested to confirm that they work, unless explicitly stated otherwise. However, as it was stated before above, not every mod is free from potential issues. Do not expect a flawless experience at all times, especially the older the mod gets.

    Grey:

    Doesn’t serve any purpose other than providing additional, but important information or clarification for a specific mod. This can include notices about alternative fixes for unplayable mods, updates when a mod was removed and later re-released, or explanations about the absence of a separate thread, all intended to prevent confusion and ensure the details needed are provided.
    TL;DR: Just some additional information

    Very bright red:

    This is for mods that most of the time worked perfectly from a functional perspective, but were later taken down from the forums for a variety of reasons. The motives can differ widely, anything from personal decisions by the creator to legal concerns or copyright claims, but the end result is always the same, being that the mod is no longer available.
    TL;DR: Entirely removed for whatever reason

    Bright red:

    This tag is assigned to mods with severe issues, for example, parts flinging off the vehicle or game crashes upon spawning. However, the absence of this tag doesn’t guarantee a problem-free experience. Some mods, especially older ones, may still have issues such as broken textures or missing preview images, but since these are relatively easy to fix, the tag is not applied in those cases.
    TL;DR: Unplayable due to whatever reason

    Dark red:

    Mods that work exactly as intended, but require repacking to play, because they do not show up in the vehicle selector as they are supposed to. This usually happens with older mods. In most cases, all it takes is extracting the downloaded zip, move its inner folder into a new folder named “vehicles,” compress that new folder into a new zip with the name of the downloaded zip, then place the new zip in the mods folder.
    TL;DR: Playable, but requires workaround

    Very dark red:

    Used for mods that function perfectly, but whose latest version isn’t included in the original post and is instead hidden deeper in sometimes very long threads. To make it easier to find it, a small tag is added to indicate the exact page where the latest version can be found, without having to scroll through the entire thread.
    TL;DR: Playable, but latest version elsewhere

    I recognise a few of those old mods that Cadillac Series 62 takes me back to the early days of the forum I remember that mod from my old system, damn thats a long time!

    I'd consider that one to be too broken. Not every issue on a mod is an exclusion criteria but at some point i think that a mod crosses the line between playable/enjoyable and being a mess.

    I have considered adding broken mods to the list too in a seperate section in the future for those that want to try them out for themselves anyway. No guarantees though
