Using this thread for I wish the game had X and other off-topic content definitely has killed the fun of update speculation, that's for sure. I'm only really checking it for @ManfredE3's updates. But teasers, no. I don't think that the staff cares about what's going on here, really. It's just an echo chamber. Compare it to the BeamNG discord server or subreddit – completely different people there.
Oh I hate that. The people on both sites are much more annoying than us and are much less educated about the game. You explain something to them and they just don’t care and go on about their wild theories and false information
Well, Jeep is already using that name, it's not the same segment of car but i honestly don't know how tight the laws are in that regard
If the laws are that tight, then Bugatti should get in trouble for naming a supercar the "Bugatti Bolide", right?
Of course the Civetta Bolide came first in that case. On the topic of kids vs. teasers, they should just make all the teasers extremely technical except for the last 1-2 before an update so the kids either won't understand, care, or perhaps even notice.
just drop them randomly like they used to. This was the case until around 2019. they used to just post random stuff they were working on, maybe there wasn't an NDA before
Why’s everyone on about teasers being gone? The devs and team have stated they won’t release info until material is ready (unless I’ve missed something).
People are, pardon my language, fucking impatient. Also, they've said the update won't be that big, so that's why there won't be teasers that frequently. Besides, it might be because of some sort of NDA. And now that I have been banned from Beamcord, I guess I have no other choice...
I think because one of the devs told they slow downed with the speculations or something like that to avoid over-hipping and false informations, and then every one is afraid that the speculations are dead, speculating about the death of speculation is done thanks to the underage children in the forums. At least, it's what I understand, maybe is for another reason, or they simply don't have enought teaser for the community until the next update. But they took the "death" of the teasers like it was the death of the major updates.
I completely forgot about this post I made back in April discussing the in-game description of career mode branches that you can find the XP tab in 0.32. Added it to the big list and linked it above for those who want a quick reference to it.
The only things that could hype me up again are high octain career procedural missions (ie highperformance racing, police, and security missions) and/or a major new feature like multiplayer. Not another remaster or a new and unneeded car.
I just checked into this, qa_stable and public are now separate branches. They used to have the same Build ID, now they're different. I wonder why they split them into two.
beause by now we would usually have teasers, people have just gotten used to the pattern of updates and since another update is less than a month away (if they stick to the every 3 month thing like they have for a while now) people are bamboozled as we shouldve had a teaser a few weeks or so ago --- Post updated --- just wanna add to this that CK sort of said that Screen Space Reflections are a feasable thing to add to AI vehicles for example as a replacement for static cubemaps as they are rn (source: a convo i had ages ago in beamcord), although he didnt really say if hed consider it due to technical difficulties (TAA would have to be added and vector data would also have to be accessed easily which rn it isnt really to my knowledge)
Diana existed for years just as mods, and the moonhawk is very similer to the barstow. its another 70s 2 door muscle car instead of say, a 4 door. Also new cars and remastered seem like diminishing returns at this point (no offense to the devs). its months of work and about 2 days of hype. then its hit or miss weather we will actively use it. For example. I use the bastion regularily, But I almost never use the Scintilla, Landsdale, or the Aurata. Granted tastes differ, but the point is, a lot of the time it seems like the main feature of the update (ie car or remaster) never really adds a whole lot and is forgotten about within a week. I do appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. But a lot of the time the hype is just that, hype, not long lasting excitement and enjoyment.
