If I'm not mistaken 0.30 came out 14 days after the creator branch was updated... but anyway it's usually 1-2 weeks
Sometimes other cars get addons instead, like when the Roamer got a Facelift and the D-Series got a Prefacelift
Not 14 it came out as soon as Muye finishes his video (he takes the longest) (steelorse uploads after the update launched)
The D-Series pre-facelift was part one of its remaster, and the Roamer also had lots of other tweaks and changes.
They completely remastered the Covet, a refresh is what was done to the ETKs. Edit: scratch that, I didn't see the before 0.26.
Maybe it was 0.29? But i remember telling people "it's coming out this week" and we got nothing because the update dropped the following week Anyway... my point is it generally takes around 1 week, sometimes more sometimes less
So how exactly do they decide which youtubers get, for lack of better terms, preferential access? Cause I remember back when Whybeare made his beam update videos, he would release them a day to a few days after the update and never mentioned anything about having early access to updates, so I don’t think he ever did. I know he hasn’t uploaded anything since like 0.24 but I still think his videos were better than most of the trashy clickbait stuff that’s out there nowadays, yet he seems to have not had access privileges. Do the Youtubers that do have access get paid for promoting the game? And of course, I also hope Whybeare is doing ok since leaving youtube.
I cant find exact date, but i think the creator program didnt exist back then. As he has all the requirements for it (https://www.beamng.com/game/community/creator-program/). I dont think the update release date is tied to when they have the videos ready to upload, but rather opposite, they probably know the release date for the update (and exact time), and they have to prepare the video for that day. I could be wrong but that sounds the most logical. (They also have to sign a NDA, so they couldnt just leak the dates) (I think they schedule their videos for exact time the update drops)
YouTubers are paid by ads displayed on YouTube while early access is a bit of a perk. My guess is YBR didn’t keep pushing for early access or didn’t care for it much.
I don't think so, I think they still have to work on the update for 3-4 days but there was a time where the creator program only lasted 5 days
TBH, if i was a creator, I would rather have the update be a surprise, as a pose to getting it early and already knowing what content is before anyone else.
That's not really going to be great for your income though... Getting relevant content out fast is important for CC's in an industry that can be a brutal slog of trying to stay relevant and maximize interactions. When that's how you put food on the table you don't have the luxury to not play the algorithm and whatever is trending at the time. --- Post updated --- Updated this with both of this weeks teasers. Another obscured profile view of the coupe, new details on the Gavril T-Series, and steel coil flatbed load with load control.
Yeah, You're right About the steel loads, I speculate that it's a resource that can be transported from the steel factory to other areas of the map.
I dont think wydra will get a refresh/remaster, maybe winch or few new parts one day, seeing the dev comments i think its in pretty good spot that they want it to be in. And i think the april fool post is just for fun, as the wydra is a big meme/hated currently.
